Body found in New Forest in search for missing woman

Police searching for a missing woman from Downton, near Salisbury, have found a body in the New Forest.

Specialist teams, including dog units and drone teams, made the discovery in Breamore near Fordingbridge on Saturday afternoon (April 6th).

Police said that, while the body has not yet formally identified, the family of Lynne Morrall have been told.

The 69-year-old was last seen on March 22nd, more than two weeks ago.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:

"Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.

"Formal identification will take place in due course.

"Although it is early stages, we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death."
