Biker airlifted to hospital after serious Poole crash

A biker's been seriously injured in a crash in Poole.

The man, in his 30s, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital after colliding with a car on The Avenue in Branksome at around 10.45am this morning (Thursday 29th September).

His family have been informed.

Dorset Police tell us the rider's black Suzuki and a black Skoda Fabia were involved in the collision, at the junction with Tower Road West.

Road closures were put in place as the emergency services responded, and carried out investigations.

Sergeant Lee Savage, of the traffic unit, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road was closed to allow us to respond to this incident.”
