Anger over problems on historic Hythe Pier

The owner's described the behaviour as 'absolutely disgusting'

There's anger from the owners of a historic pier on Southampton Water.

There have been problems with groups drinking, fighting and even urinating on Hythe Pier in the past four weeks.

It's also feared the listed wooden structure - which first opened in 1881 - could go up in flames as people ignore a smoking ban.

The wood is said to be 'tinder dry' following the recent heatwaves and dry weather.
