Toddler airlifted to hospital after being bitten by dog in Bridgnorth

A girl's been airlifted to hospital after being bitten by a dog in Bridgnorth.

West Mercia Police were called to an address on Orchard Square, Highley, at around 4:15pm on Wednesday.

A two-year-old girl suffered serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The dog involved has been removed from the property.

Detectives say there is no continuing risk to the public after the "incredibly sad" incident.
