Telford man jailed after stabbing man carrying young child
A man from Telford has been jailed for 11 years after stabbing another man in Hadley.
A man from Telford has been sentenced to 11 years after stabbing a man who was carrying his young child.
Joel Hislop was convicted of attacking the man on 11 December 2019 in Hadley.
The victim was carrying his child home when Hislop approached and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Detective Inspector Paul Dury of Telford Reactive CID said: “We are pleased to get this lengthy prison sentence for Hislop whose appalling actions in front of a child could have resulted in much more severe consequences for the victim.
“I hope that this result demonstrates that positive action will be taken against perpetrators seeking to cause harm in our communities.”
