RAIN: weather warning issued to parts of West Midlands
The Met Office predicts heavy rain to affect large parts of the West Midlands and has issued a yellow weather warning.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for large parts of the West Midlands today as the Met Office forecasts heavy rain.
Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire are affected, with the Met Office saying there is a slight chance of power cuts and flooding in some areas.
Its statement on the Met Office website said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."
Experts are expecting the rain to ease after dark tonight.
