About The Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Leanne & Joel
Leanne is one of Liverpool’s most-loved presenters, having been in the business for more than 18 years.
As well as hosting the Breakfast Show with Joel, Leanne is a star of stage and screen, entrepreneur, and charity ambassador.
Leanne’s played leading roles in many musicals and plays, including Me and My Girl, Scrooge The Musical, Carousel, The Sound of Music, Aladdin and Dick Whittington. Known for her Panto appearances, Leanne’s also performed at the Empire Theatre and the M&S Bank Arena.
Joel has been working in radio since the age of 16 when he started on his hometown station Yorkshire Coast Radio. You might recognise Joel’s face as well as his voice, as he’s also hosted TV shows including Hider in the House and Scorpion Island.
Joel’s top three songs are Saltwater by Chicane, Set You Free by N-Trance and My Immortal by Evanescence. His favourite throwback is What Would You Do? by City High and his choice of listening for a long drive is Robert Miles’ Dreamland album.
