Woman convicted after thefts from shops and vehicles in Banbury

Multiple shops and cars were broken into between January and June

A woman's been convicted after stealing from shops and vehicles in Banbury.

Between January and June this year, Joanne Coughlan, of Mawle Court, Banbury, took items from an HMV and a Crofts Pet Store in the town.

The 47-year-old also tried to open multiple car door handles, stealing cash from inside vehicles she could gain access to.

Coughlan was arrested and charged on Thursday 6 June.

At Oxford Magistrates Court on Friday 7 June, she pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop, two counts of vehicle interference and two counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

Coughlan will be sentenced at Oxford Magistrates Court on 4 July.
