"We've all been there!": Non-League Oxford City reveal Sheffield Wednesday ticket mistake

Non-league side Oxford City have revealed they received an unexpected package from Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week.

A box, containing almost 4,000 away tickets for the upcoming Owls match against their city rivals Oxford United arrived at The Hoops' MGroup Stadium - apparently sent in error from South Yorkshire.

Poking fun at the error on social media, Oxford City wrote "To the intern at the Hillsborough ticket office, don’t worry, we’ve all been there!"

"U’s fans, don’t panic. We’re delivering 3,997 of these to (Oxford United) after lunch."

Sheffield Wednesday are set to welcome The U's - and their travelling support - on April 12.
