Two people in hospital after serious collision on the A40
It happened early on Monday morning
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious two vehicle road traffic collision, which has left two people with serious injuries.
At around 6.20am this morning (Monday 4th March) a black MG ZS and a white Citroen Berlingo van were involved in a crash on the A40 between Swinbrook and Burford.
The road was closed for several hours, but has since re-opened.
The driver of the MG, a man aged in his thirties and the driver of the Citroen, a man aged in his fifties, have sustained significant injuries and were both taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where they remain at this time.
Investigating officer PC Matt Stansfield of the Roads Policing Unit said:
“This collision occurred early this morning on a busy stretch of the A40.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam that has captured the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
