Max Paintin, aged 26, of Eastern Avenue, pleaded guilty to three counts of ABH, two counts of assault on an emergency worker and a count each to coercive and controlling behaviour, intentional strangulation, threatening to disclose private photographs and criminal damage at Oxford Crown Court on 30th May.
The offences took place between February last year and May this year.

The victim of the offences, a woman in her twenties, sustained scarring to the foot, sore throat and bruising during this time.
Paintin was also sentenced on the same day for an unrelated ABH incident against a member of the public.
Paintin hit a man, causing him to fall and hit is head on the ground. Upon his arrest, Paintin spat at an officer and bit another officer’s arm.
Paintin was arrested and charged on 2nd May, this year.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Leah Boswell, based at Oxford Police Station, said: “The victim in this case endured this abuse for a year before contacting the police.
“She has shown incredible bravery in coming forward and without her detailed account and willingness to provide evidence, this outcome would not have been possible.
“I hope this conviction goes some way in giving victims the confidence to come forward to the police to report such offences.
“Thames Valley Police is relentless in its pursuit and disruption of perpetrators of violence against women and girls.
“We understand that coming forward and reporting incidents of this nature is incredibly hard, but we urge anyone who has been subjected to these terrible crimes, to speak up. We will believe you and support you throughout the process."
Paintin was sentenced to four years and five months in prison on Tuesday 11th June at Oxford Crown Court.
