Man jailed for drugs offences in Aylesbury

A man from London has been jailed for drug offences in Aylesbury.
Xhenet Hasaj, 27, of Babington Road, Barnet, was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison and ordered to forfeit drugs, his mobile phone and cash at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday 2nd May after he admitted possessing class A drugs when he was stopped by police last month.
Thames Valley Police plain clothed officers were on patrol in Aylesbury, when they stopped a suspected drug deal involving an Audi A4, which Hasaj was driving, on March 25th.
Officers followed the car until it came to a stop and conducted a search of the car, where £250 in cash was found.
Hasaj was arrested and following a further search, around 18 bags of cocaine were found.
He was charged the following day.
Investigating officer PC James Gordon, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We will proactively target and prosecute offenders and our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.
