Man in his 60s serious injured in A34 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses

A man in his 60s remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A34 in Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision that happened on the A34, between Milton Interchange and Chilton Interchange.

At just after 1.05pm yesterday (20th November) a collision occurred on the A34 southbound carriageway between a Fiat Ducato Dropside and a Volvo Tipper HGV.

The driver of the Fiat, a male aged in his sixties, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests has been made in connection with this incident.

Investigating officer PC Tim Cameron, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident whereby a driver has sustained serious injuries due to the collision.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward, particularly to anyone with dash-cam footage that may assist with our investigation.

“Anyone with information relating to the incident should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240561962.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the A34 was closed and we conducted our extensive enquiries at the scene.”
