Man dies following Burford collision

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the incident which happened on the A40 near Burford on Monday March 4th.

Police say the man in his 30s passed away as a result of his injuries.

He was driving an MG when it collided with a white Citreon van near Burford early on Monday March 4th.

The driver of the Citroen, a man aged in his fifties, sustained serious injuries, and is recovering in hospital.

Officers are re-appealing for witnesses or for anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward as investigations continue.

Investigating officer PC Matt Stansfield of the Roads Policing Unit said:

“I am today re-appealing for witnesses to this collision to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who was driving in the area at around 6.20am on 4 March to check their dash-cams and contact us if it has captured anything that can assist this investigation.
