Lorry crash closes M40 in Oxfordshire

The M40 northbound was closed between J9 and J10 near Bicester after the HGV transporting sausages overturned

A lorry crash this morning (Friday June 7th) has closed the M40 northbound near Bicester in Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue say crews from Bicester Fire Station, Kidlington Fire Station and Rewley Road Fire Station attended an RTC involving an overturned HGV on the M40 J9-J10.

Thankfully nobody was seriously injured and the driver was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

The vehicle was transporting a loads of sausages which were left scattered across the carriageway.
