Body of man found in River Thames in Oxford
The man in his 60s was confirmed dead at the scene
The body of a man in his 60s has been found in the River Thames in Oxford.
Police were called to the Thames Path, near Heyford Hill, Oxford just before 9.30am yesterday morning (Sunday 10 November) following reports that the body of a man had been located in the river there.
Officers say very sadly a man aged in his sixties was confirmed deceased at the scene.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said:
“The man’s next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
“The thoughts of all of Thames Valley Police are with his family at this very difficult time.
“The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
