Reward offered in Oxfordshire assault

Police are issuing a re-appeal following the assault at the Co-op in Eynsham.

Thames Valley Police is re-releasing CCTV images of a group of four people officers would like to speak to following an assault in Eynsham.

It happened at around 10.10pm on Saturday 7 October last year at the Co-op in the High Street, in Eynsham. A member of staff challenged a group of people believed to be shoplifting. As a result, one of the group sprayed Vanish liquid at the shop assistant.

The victim sustained injuries to their eyes and received hospital treatment. They have since been discharged.

The Co-op is offering a £2000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the incident, if the information is provided by the end of May 2024.

Investigating officer PC Nicky Beltran, said: “I am appealing to anybody who recognises the four individuals in these images to please get in touch with us as we believe they may have vital information about this incident.

“If you are pictured, please come forward as soon as possible."
