Crossmaglen: PSNI given more time to question man over murder

Police were granted more time today (Wednesday) to question a man on suspicion of the murder of 74-year-old Michael McConville in Crossmaglen.

They said it was a further extension of 24 hours to quiz the 67 year old.

Mr McConville's body was found in the bathroom of a house on the Annaghmare Road on Saturday evening.

Detectives believe his injuries were caused by a weapon.
