Cannabis worth £15,000 and cash have been seized in County Down.

They were discovered after searches in the Newcastle area on Monday.

Two men aged 19 and 50 have been arrested.

Newry, Mourne & Down District Commander, Superintendent Norman Haslett said: “We are actively committed to removing illegal drugs from our streets, and proactively investigate and carry out searches to disrupt this activity, and those involved in the drugs trade.
