Yorkshire Ambulance Service begins training the military

They have been drafted in to help paramedics

Yorkshire Ambulance Service will start training the military today (18 January).

Around 40 personnel are being drafted in to help- as the service struggles to cope with staff absences due to Covid.

The army will train for two weeks before working with patients and hospitals.

It's comes after there are increasing pressure on staffing due to to Covid-related absences.
