Teenager assaulted following attempted robbery in York

Two males approached a 16-year-old boy and demanded money

Police in York are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted robbery in Dunnington.

It happened on York Street near the bus stop at around 5.10pm on Saturday (11th December) when two males approached a 16-year-old boy and demanded money.

The males then assaulted the boy leaving him with cuts and bruises.

Officers are appealing for witnesses including video and dashcam footage and for anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information to contact them.

If you have CCTV or doorbell camera footage along York Road or the bus stop and may have captured the suspects or the incident on camera.
