Police investigate assault in York play park

The eleven and twelve-year-olds did not receive any injuries

Police in York are investigating an assault, which happened in Westfield Play Park, Acomb.

At around 5pm on Wednesday (7 April), two boys, aged 11 and 12 years old, were approached by a group of other youths, aged between twelve and sixteen.

The two victims did not receive any injuries, police say.

Anyone with information which could help the oinquiry are being asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.

In a statement, the force says: "Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Peter Maw. You can also email Peter.Maw@northyorkshire.police.uk
