Woman dies after a crash in Whitby

It happened last week and involved a red Honda Civic

A woman has died after a crash in Whitby.

It happened on Monday 25th October at around 11.35am on Bagdale at the junction with Brunswick Street.

It involved a red Honda Civic which mounted the pavement and hit an office building. The occupants of the car, an 80-year-old male driver and a 79-year-old female passenger from the town, were taken to hospital following the collision.

The female passenger died as a result of her injuries on Friday 29th October.

Police would like any pedestrians and drivers in the area at the time and saw the red Honda Civic to contact police. In addition, anyone who might have dashcam footage from the area at the time, or any CCTV, is asked to get in touch.
