North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault in Scarborough.

It happened at around 10.50am on Sunday 4th April on Hoxton Road and involved a man and a woman arguing in the road. After about 15 minutes the man drove off in a vehicle in a dangerous manner.

The man was located and arrested by police the same day, and has been released on bail pending further investigation.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they are appealing for information from local residents and business owners who may have CCTV footage covering the Hoxton Road area.
