Whitby swing bridge to shut tonight
It's so investigations can be carried out into recent mechanical failures.
Whitby's swing bridge is being closed for six hours tonight, so investigation work can take place.
Engineers say it will be open and closed several times between 6pm and midnight, to try and work out why it keeps breaking.
Pedestrians will be able to cross it at times when it's in the down position.
