A Whitby surfer's been re-united with his board, after it was found 400 miles away from where he lost it.

Lee Brogan was in the sea at Runswick Bay in November, when he came off it and it was discovered in the Shetland Islands.

Someone spotted it on a facebook group and recognised the board, which Lee has nicknamed 'The Tank' - presumably because it's indestructible.

He got the board back six weeks after they parted company.

Lee said it's a happy ending.:

"You do get attached to your board, also it's a good few hundred quid.

So it's definitely nice to get it back. I've had it about 10 years now, so it's something that I've surfed hundred of times.

It's a great board."
