Whitby District Lions Club is bringing its 'Rainbow Colour Run’ back for 2022 this weekend.

It will be held on Sunday (17th July) at 1pm on West Cliff beach and will raise money for local charities and good causes.

The non-competitive event wil see participants of all ages run, jog or walk the course, whilst facing a colourful shower of powdered paint.

On the day there will be two courses available to complete, either a 5k course for adults (from the West Pier along the beach to the Dunsley ravine and back) or a 3k course for those who are accompanied by children under 16 years (from the West Pier along the beach to the end of the sea wall and back).

Tickets can be purchased online through the Whitby District Lion’s Club website at whitbylionsclub.org.uk/whitby-rainbow-colour-run-2022/. Tickets will be purchased through PayPal using either a debit or credit card. Tickets are also available from the Whitby Pet Shop, 15 Station Square, Whitby, YO21 1DU

Tickets can also be purchased on the day by either cash or using a debit/credit card from the registration tent which will be located on Whitby’s West Cliff beach down from the slipway near the bandstand.

Each ticket includes a FREE white t-shirt, so you can get splattered in as much colour as you like. People will also be given a colourful pair of sunglasses.

If you have purchased your tickets online, you need to register on the day before the run starts to collect your t-shirt and sunglasses. Registration opens at 12 noon on Sunday and closes just before the event starts at 1pm.

All participants will asked to take part in an exciting energetic warm up hosted by LB Fitness, the warm up will be set to some thumping dance tunes before the start of the run to get everyone's adrenaline flowing.
