Whitby residents urged to donate items to help aid Ukrainian refugees
A former Caedmon College staff member will be driving to the Polish/Ukrainian border
People in Whitby are being urged to donate aid to help Ukrainian refugees.
Caedmon College is holding the appeal as a former staff member there will be delivering it all on Thursday as he drives to the Polish Ukrainian border.
The school is looking for:
Personal hygiene products
- soaps, shower gels, shampoos and hair conditioners, hair brushes
- toothbrushes and toothpaste, for children and adults
- antiperspirants and deodorants
- sanitary towels, tampons, panty liners
- wet wipes, nappies of various sizes, tissues, cotton pads
Medical supplies
- first aid kits
- bandages, gauze and swabs, tourniquets, plasters, disposable
- Calpol
For children
- colouring books and crayons/markers
- small puzzles
- small soft toys/cuddly toys
Also
- baby porridge, baby rice, fruit / vegetable snacks in tubes (not jars)
- instant foods such as soups, etc
- sleeping bags, mats, blankets
- hot water bottles
- power banks, batteries, flashlights
Clothing in different sizes (please bring NEW items):
- women's and children's underwear
- cotton T-shirts, sweatshirts and tracksuits
- thermal clothing
- cotton leggings for women
- bath towels
