Two men assaulted in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault and series of criminal damage incidents

The assault and damage took place Albemarle Road around 8:15 yesterday evening (Wednesday 31 March 2021) and involved two male victims being assaulted and five cars being damaged.

One of the victims was taken to hospital with swelling to his eye and cuts and grazes to his face. He was taken to York Hospital and later discharged following treatment.

North Yorkshire Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

They say they're looking for any information about a large group of youths in the Albemarle Road area. In particular, information on the identity of a male, wearing a grey tracksuit top and grey tracksuit shorts. The male was also believed to be wearing black trainers and black ankle socks and wearing a light coloured cap.
