Harrogate Town have mathematically secured their League Two place with a win over Newport County.

They needed just a point from the game at Rodney Parade to remain in the football league.

The 3-2 win last night (Tuesday, 25 April) saw goals from Sam Folarin, George Thomson and Luke Armstrong.

Despite numerous attacks from the hosts, Town's defence held firm to claim all three points and return home with their EFL status secured.

Following the game, manager Simon Weaver says:

"We want to finish with as many points as possible, excite the fans, keep building momentum from the last 15 games and certainly end on a positive note for the fans."
