Fire crews tackle blaze in Spofforth

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are currently dealing with a building fire in Spofforth.

The service was called our at 2.13pm today (15 June).

6 crews attended, from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Ripon, Tadcaster and Acomb.

The building contained what firefighters believed to be propane cylinders, which were away from the flames.

All cylinders were identified, and cooled down by fire crews.

As of 5pm on Tuesday 15 June 2021, 3 crews are currently on scene, but North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue tell us that is in the process of being scaled down to 2.
