More sales at Scarborough RNLI than any other of the charity's shops
The Scarborough lifeboathouse shop was in third place at the back end of last year
For the first time in its long history, Scarborough lifeboathouse's shop took more sales than any other RNLI shop in the country last month.
The charity has over 120 shops around the UK.
Scarborough has about a dozen volunteers who run the shop. Its manager, Michael Turner, said: "At the back end of last year we were in the third place."
The town's RNLI shop is open from 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday in the winter.
