There is going to be an event in Scarborough to try and raise money to help a peer-to-peer mental health support group.

People who wants someone to talk to are being urged to get in touch with 'Speak Out' who say they are there to help.

Nicola, who is one of its members, is calling herself Mrs. Motivator and she will be holding a dance exercise class tomorrow (Monday 28th June) on Scarborough's North Bay from 11am.

Helen Speak is the group's founder and said:

"As we were trying to do more and more things online, we were trying to get a programme set out so we had online stuff as well and she offered to do this Mrs. Motivator thing. People loved it because she puts a lot of effort into it, she gets dressed up and it's good for people to be able to go along and watch if they just want ccheering up.

"She's going to wear something a bit different to what she wears in her online videos and she's going to finish off with a jump in the sea, so we're hoping that what we're trying to achieve is that people come down on the day, support us, get behind us and join in with the exercise calsses.

"Mental health is massive. We need to make people aware, we need to advertise it and we need to support people the best we can. We can only do that by getting the word out there really."
