Scarborough man charged with manslaughter of Peter Houghton from Hull

A Scarborough man has been charged with manslaughter after an incident in the town last year.
It happened on Newborough last September when 59-year-old Peter Houghton, from Hull, was involved in an assault and died from serious injuries after being taken to hospital.
At the time, his family paid tribute saying: "Pete was one of life’s characters and would help anyone. He was loved by many, he was a devoted husband and a loving family man. He loved life, and lived it to the full."
A 35-year-old man from Scarborough is due to appear in court next week.
