Scarborough man jailed for assault

A Scarborough man has been jailed for two years and eight months for an assault earlier this year.

It happened back in July on North Street when a 66 year-old man had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.

21 year-old Ben Collins, who is from Royal Crescent Lane in Scarborough, pleaded guilty to a charge of inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm without intent.

He has also been made to pay £190 in fines and costs.
