The MP for Scarborough and Whitby, Robert Goodwill, has been sharing his memories of Prince Philip.

Special sittings of the nations' parliaments will be held today, to allow for tributes to be heard for the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip died on Friday, aged 99.

He'd been at the Queen's side for more than 70 years.

World leaders have been paying their respects following his death.

The UK is now in a period of mourning, ahead of Saturday's funeral at Windsor Castle.

Among the times Robert met him was in 2010, when he accompanied the Queen when she came to Scarborough, to officially mark the opening of the Open Air Theatre.
