Police officer and man injured after dog attack
The incident happened this morning.
A dangerous dog's been shot by police after it attacked two people in York.
It happened just before midday.
A member of the public and one officer who tried to catch the animal were bitten, both are receiving treatment in hospital.
North Yorkshire police said:
"A police firearm was used to dispatch the animal to protect members of the public and bring the incident to a safe conclusion."
