Police appeal for information following collision in North Yorkshire

A driver was arrested at the scene after failing a roadside breath test

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision.

The incident involved a grey BMW X5 and a black Vauxhall Antara at around 3.55pm on Campion Lane in Hutton Rudby on Saturday (14th December).

Both vehicles are thought to have travelled onto Campion Lane from the Crathorne/Swainby area.

The driver of the BMW was arrested at the scene after failing a roadside breath test.

They were taken to hospital for medical assessment where evidential samples were obtained and are awaiting forensic analysis.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either of the vehicles before the incident, or has dashcam footage of their movements, is asked to come forward.
