A North Yorkshire farmer says she's not surprised by the new "cow cuddling trend".

Some farms across the UK and in Europe are now even offering wellbeing sessions which involve stroking and squeezing the animals.

Rebecca Dack has about 30 Wagyu calves near Selby and says she loves snuggling up to them: "I found if I'm having a bit of a bad day and it definitely makes me feel better and I've got some friends who aren't farmers at all and all they say is 'Can I come and cuddle the cows?".

"I try and come in and have a cuddle with them after feeding them everyday, so they'll get fusses twice a day."

"I check on them three times a day and they are just my babies I don't think someone could really care about their animals more to be honest with you."

"People don't really realise how much we do care for our stock because yeah they are money but really livestock don't make that much money so you've got to really love it to do it at the end and if you don't love it why do it."
