New buses take to the road on Cityzap route between York and Leeds
The brand new fleet of vehicles costing £1.4 million begin entering service today, as the Cityzap route returns after being paused during the lockdown
A fleet of brand new buses enter service on the Cityzap route between York and Leeds from today (Sunday).
Their features include luxury seating, tables, a glass ceiling, wireless and USB charging, free Wi-Fi, next stop displays and low emission engines.
The introduction of the new fleet of vehicles, which are built to a custom designed 'Sky Class' specification, is the result of a £1.4 million investment by parent company Transdev.
The Cityzap route was paused during the national lockdown, but returns today with a new timetable and a new stop to serve the Amazon warehouse on the outskirts of Leeds.
Buses run every 30 minutes during the day Monday-Saturday, and every hour on Sundays.
