Man seriously injured following 'workplace incident' in York
It happened at an apartment block on Bishopthorpe Road on Tuesday
A man's been seriously injured following what police are describing as a 'workplace incident' in York.
It happened yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 1 November) at an apartment block on Bishopthorpe Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3pm.
The Health and Safety Executive is now investigating what happened.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said:
'North Yorkshire Police were called by the ambulance service at around 2.50pm on 1 November to reports of a workplace incident at an apartment block on Bishopthorpe Road, York.
'A man sustained serious injuries in the incident and has been taken to hospital.
'The Health and Safety Executive has been notified.'
