Man punched in the face in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault in Scarborough.

It happened on Prospect Road at around 6.30pm on Monday 22nd March when a passenger of a midnight-grey Vauxhall Corsa exited the vehicle and assaulted a man walking past Prospect Road and onto Columbus Ravine.

The victim was punched in the face, which caused bruising to his right cheek.

The suspect was a 6ft tall man, with a large, muscular build. He had strawberry-blonde hair styled in a medium-length perm and had a bushy beard of the same colour.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
