Man dies after collision with lorry in York

Police in York are making a fresh appeal for witnesses - after a man died following a collision with a lorry.

It happened around 1.45am on Saturday 2nd October on Wigginton Road.

The man, in his 40s - sustained serious head injuries in the crash and has since died in hospital.

In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers from the Major Collision Investigation Team are renewing their appeal for any witnesses, CCTV or dashcam footage.

"They would be particularly interested to speak to anyone who was walking or travelling in the area who may have seen a pedestrian on Wigginton Road (B1363) prior to the collision, or anyone who was travelling in the area between midnight and 2am who have may have captured dashcam footage of their journey."
