Man arrested after assault in York

A man in his 20s was punched on Sunday morning.

A man was injured after being punched in York city centre.

It happened on the junction of St Helens Square and Blake Street - around 3:30am on Sunday morning.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital and was later discharged.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and release under investigation.
