Pupils at Rossett school in Harrogate say it's been amazing to meet their idol Rachel Daly.

The Lioness was a pupil there - and went back today to open their 3G pitch which has been named after her.

She told us it was a really special trip: "Harrogate holds a special place in my heart, it's where I've spent my hold life and you don't forget your roots and Rossett I spent many hours on the old astro turf here so to have it in my name now is a real honour."

"Speaking to the PE teachers here today it's nice to hear how many of the girls do play football here and outside of school, in Harrogate in the local community, when I was a kid I had to drag the girls in off the playground and beg them to come and play to make a team."

"It's a really nice feeling to see how much it has developed but again that's something that as Lionesses we wanted to do, to inspire the next generation and enable them to play football that they feel comfortable. There is a still a long way to go but definitely onwards and upwards."
