A man has been left in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Harrogate on Wednesday night (November 30).
A stretch of Forest Avenue was closed at around 8pm while police carried out investigations.
North Yorkshire Police said the collision happened as a silver Nissan Micra turned onto the road and collided with a male pedestrian.
Officers are asking to speak to any witnesses who saw the car in the moments leading up to the crash.
