Fires at two Northallerton shops

Fires have been started at two shops in Northallerton overnight.
They both happened within a few minutes of each other shortly after midnight, in the doorways of the buildings on the High Street.

Crew from Northallerton and Thirsk responded to reports of a fire in the doorway of a retail premise. This was started deliberately. Crew extinguished using 2 hose reel jets, main jet and thermal imaging camera.

Crew from Northallerton and Bedale responded to a second fire in the doorway of another shop. This was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and a wildfire rake. This fire was also started deliberately.
