Fire at derelict hotel in Scarborough
Crews were called out to Belmont Road at 3am (Thursday, 29 December)
Firefighters are tackling a huge fire in a derelict hotel in Scarborough.
The North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) says it broke out before 3 o'clock this morning (Thursday, 29 December) at Belmont Road.
Crews from Scarborough, Filey and Robin Hood's Bay are currently at the scene, tackling the blaze.

'Crews from Scarborough, Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay attended a fire within a derelict hotel on multiple levels.
'Aerial platform in use and three 45mm jets from outside the building.
'Police, Northern Powergrid and Transco requested and attending.
'Aerial platform being used as a water tower.
'Firefighting continuing with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus now committed internally.
'Premises believed to have been closed for some time.'
