Fans were back at Bootham Crescent for the first time in nine months last night, to see York City take on Spennymoor Town.

400 supporters were admitted for the "pilot scheme" game, with tickets going to season ticket holders who live in tier 1 or tier 2 areas only.

All tickets sold out in just 53 minutes!

What the fans lacked in numbers, they made up for in volume...

The points in the match were shared, with the Minstermen denied a fourth straight win.

An early Michael Woods goal for City was cancelled out by a late Glen Taylor goal for Spennymoor.

Volunteers were involved in the effort to get the stadium ready for fans.

All 13 of them were given complimentary tickets.
