Fall in overall crime taking place on the Yorkshire Coast

The latest crime figures have been released by the Government and it shows crime on the Yorkshire Coast seems to have gone down over the past year.

The comparisons are between the year ending September 2019 to the year ending September 2020.

In North Yorkshire overall crime fell by 9% with theft from a person going down by nearly half and burglary by nearly a third.

However, stalking rose by almost a fifth, as did offences involving the possession of weapons.

In Humberside overall crime dropped by 10% with theft from a person falling by 44%.

There was an increase of drug and public order offences, which rose by 15% and 14% respectively.
